Big adoption news- Our agency has issued 9 referrals! Congratulations to each family who received a referral. It's been so exiting to share the journey with so many wonderful families.
We learned that our agency has signed on with an additional orphanage Kingdom Vision International.
Today, I was wondering what (BOC) son #2 will call Rob's mom. Igor has always called Rob's mom Babushka. Babushka is called Me-Ma by her other grandchildren. Can you see our Ethiopian son calling his grandmother Babushka? I cannot see. Well, I can see it but it makes me laugh... it's quite a sight in my mind. Maybe it will make perfect sense when BOC gets here but right now it doesn't. Rob thinks it will look/sound a little funny at first but Babushka will stay Babushka.
Tooth update: Thursday I met with the periodontist. The I periodontist confirmed that I have significant bone loss due to the infection. I will need a bone graft. heavy sigh. The entire process, including a new tooth, will take 6-8 months. The bone graft and tooth extraction is scheduled on May 6 unless they get a cancellation. Yep, it's a long time away. If the infection flairs up again he'll get me in on a emergency basis.
I've decided to find another dentist. The periodontist and dentist will work closely together over the next few months. I've seen my current dentist 3 times and we just don't click. So, the dentist search is on! I will have to find one quickly in case I have more tooth troubles.

I think if BOC calls Grandma "Babshka" is will make perfect sense since he will be part of a Russian-Ethio-American family! :-)
So sorry about your tooth! Let me know if you need any help getting you around or with Igor.
Love, Susan
I think Babushka is perfect and perfectly adorable, too. Igor may be offended in BOC doesn't use HIS name for gramma, anyway :) Okay, I have to ask... I can't figure out what BOC stands for! I'm also sorry about your tooth-- I HATE finding having to find new dentists (something we have to do often)
Love, Shari
Candy, I highly recommend Dr. Bill Lewis in Chapel Hill. 968-4701

I am so sorry about all your upcoming dentist bills! smile I finally got my crown on today, only after they almost lost it down my throat..yep, it got lost in my mouth. Hope your experience is better!
I think it will be cute for BOC to call her Babushka. :)
I hope you are able to find a good dentist really soon.
